Home Coach by MyKey
Effective date: October 6, 2026
This page explains, in plain words, what Home Coach keeps, who can see it, and how you can have it removed. Home Coach is owned and run by MyKey Consulting Services LLC in Bothell, Washington.
The short version
- Home Coach keeps what you type in so the app can work for you.
- Some of it is health-related or personal, such as medication lists and care notes. Only add what you are comfortable keeping in the app.
- Forum posts and messages are seen by other people.
- We do not sell your information. We do not show ads.
- You can ask us to remove your information at any time by emailing hello@mykeyplans.com.
What we keep
When you sign in and use Home Coach, we keep:
- Your account details: your name, your email address, and your role in the app.
- Daily living information you add: tasks and their steps, routines, goals, recipes, and shopping lists.
- Money information you add: bill names, amounts, due dates, whether a bill is paid, confirmation numbers, and notes. Home Coach does not connect to your bank and does not collect card or bank account numbers.
- Health-related information you add: medication names, doses, schedules, instructions, prescriber names, medication photos, and a log of doses marked taken or missed.
- Care team information: the names and email addresses of caregivers you invite, their relationship to you, what you allow them to do, and notes.
- Community content: forum posts and replies, likes, groups you create or join, direct messages, mentorship requests and mentor profiles, and notifications.
- Supported housing records, where a housing community uses these features: resident profiles (which can include unit number, support needs, emergency contacts, and medical notes), incident reports (which can include photos and names of people involved), staff alerts, maintenance requests, and community events.
- Photos and files you upload, such as a photo of a medication, a recipe, or a task step.
- Chats with the Companion helper inside the app.
Home Coach is not a medical record system and is not a health care provider. Please do not add information you would not want stored in an app.
Who can see your information
- Your private records can be opened only by your own account. This covers tasks, routines, goals, medications and the medication log, bills, recipes, and shopping lists. Other people who use Home Coach cannot open them.
- Care team members see nothing until you invite them by email. After that they see only the sections you switch on for them (tasks, routines, goals, medications, bills), along with your name and the relationship you chose on the invitation. If you leave messaging on, they can send you messages. You can change what they see, or remove them, at any time.
- Forum posts and replies can be read by other signed-in members of the community. Your name is shown on what you post. Your email address is saved with your posts, replies, and likes, and other signed-in members can use it to send you a direct message. Only you or a moderator can change or remove your post. Do not post private health, money, or address details in the forum.
- Groups that are public, and the names of their members, can be seen by signed-in members. Other members are not shown your email address. A private group is seen only by its members.
- Direct messages can be read only by you and the person you send them to. That person also gets an email with your name and the first part of your message. A message cannot be changed after it is sent.
- If you offer to be a mentor, your name, your email address, the short bio you write, and your focus areas are shown to signed-in members. A mentorship request, and the mentorship that follows, can be seen only by the mentor and the mentee.
- Notifications can be seen only by the person they are for.
- Moderators and app administrators at MyKey Consulting Services LLC can see forum posts, replies, groups, and flagged content so they can keep the community safe. Inside the app, administrators cannot open your private records or your direct messages.
- In a supported housing community, resident profiles, incident reports, staff alerts, maintenance requests, and community events can be seen only by app administrators.
- As the owner of the app, MyKey Consulting Services LLC can reach stored records through the hosting service's administration tools. We do this only when it is needed to give support you asked for, fix a problem, complete a removal request, follow the law, or protect someone from serious harm.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising. We may share information if the law requires it, or if we believe it is needed to protect someone from serious harm.
What stays on your device
- A sign-in token is saved in your browser so you stay signed in.
- The Family Toolkit edition of Home Coach (the one opened from the MyKey Family Toolkit flipbook) needs no account. Chore charts, checklists, and progress in that edition are saved only in the browser on your device and are never sent to us. You can erase them with the "Clear my data" button in that edition.
- If you use the microphone button for voice commands, your browser turns your speech into text. Depending on your browser, the browser maker (for example Google or Apple) may process that audio. Home Coach does not keep voice recordings.
Outside services we use
Home Coach relies on a small number of outside companies to work. Here is each one and what it receives.
- Base44 (app hosting, database, sign-in, and file storage). Base44 stores everything listed under "What we keep," including uploaded photos, and handles sign-in.
- Google (optional sign-in). If you choose "Sign in with Google," Google confirms who you are and shares your name, email address, and profile picture with the app. We never see your Google password.
- AI helper services, provided through Base44. When you use an AI feature, the text needed for that feature is sent to an AI model to create a response. This includes the Companion chat (which can look at your tasks, routines, goals, bills, medications, recipes, shopping lists, care team, and messages to help you), the task, routine, goal, and recipe helpers, automatic safety checks on forum posts and replies, and incident report summaries for housing staff.
- ElevenLabs (read aloud voice). When you press a "read aloud" button, the words to be spoken, such as a task step or medication instructions, are sent to ElevenLabs to make the audio. Your name and account details are not sent.
- Email delivery, provided through Base44. Used to send notices such as a new direct message, a reply to your forum post, or a mentorship request. The email service receives the recipient's email address and the text of the notice.
Home Coach does not use advertising networks or ad tracking tools.
Sign-in options
You can sign in with an email address and password, or with Google. Passwords are handled by the sign-in service. We cannot see your password.
How to have your information removed
You can edit or delete most things you add from inside the app. To have your account and information removed, or to ask for a copy of it, email hello@mykeyplans.com from the email address on your account. We will confirm the request and remove your information within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something.
Forum posts and messages that other people have already received may still be visible to them. Tell us in your email if you want your forum posts removed as well.
Children under 13
Home Coach is designed for teens and adults. Children under 13 should not create their own account. If a child under 13 uses Home Coach, a parent or legal guardian must set up and manage the account. Children under 13 should not use the community forum, direct messages, or mentorship features. If you believe a child under 13 has an account without a parent or guardian, email hello@mykeyplans.com and we will remove it.
Keeping information safe
Information is sent over an encrypted connection and kept on Base44's hosted systems. No online service can promise perfect security. Use a strong password, and sign out on shared devices.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is important, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
