Terms of Use

Home Coach by MyKey is developed and owned by MyKey Consulting Services LLC, based in Bothell, Washington. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean MyKey Consulting Services LLC.

Home Coach is an educational support tool. It helps people practice and keep track of daily living skills, such as tasks, routines, goals, recipes, shopping, and bills.

• Home Coach is not medical, legal, therapeutic, or financial advice.
• Medication lists and medication logs are your own personal record. They are not medical guidance. Always follow your doctor, pharmacist, or other health care provider.
• Reminders can fail. Do not rely on Home Coach alone to remember medication, bills, or appointments.
• Suggestions from the Companion and other AI helpers are made by a computer. They can be wrong. Check anything important with a person you trust.
• Home Coach supplements, and does not replace, an IEP, an individual support plan, a transition plan, or professional guidance.

Home Coach is not an emergency service, and no one watches the app around the clock. Forum posts, messages, incident reports, and alerts in the app do not call for help. If you or someone else is in danger or needs urgent medical help, call 911 right away.

You agree that you will not:

• Use the app to break the law or to harm anyone.
• Add information about another person without their permission, or the permission of their parent or legal guardian.
• Try to get into another person's account or information.
• Try to break, overload, copy, or take apart the app.
• Pretend to be someone you are not.

The community is for support and encouragement. When you post, reply, or send a message, you agree to:

• Be kind and respectful. No bullying, threats, hate, or harassment.
• Keep private things private. Do not share your own or anyone else's health details, address, passwords, or money information.
• Not ask other members for money, gifts, or personal favors, and not sell or advertise anything.
• Not post sexual, violent, or illegal content.
• Not give medical, legal, or financial advice as if you were a professional.

Mentors are community members who volunteer. They are not professionals working for us, and we do not run background checks on members. Be careful about meeting anyone in person, and involve a trusted person in that decision.

You can flag a post or reply that worries you. Posts and replies may also be checked automatically for safety. We may hide or remove any content, and limit or close any account, that breaks these rules.

• Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Give true information when you sign up.
• If a child is under 13, a parent or legal guardian must set up and manage the account.
• If you help someone else use Home Coach, such as a family member or a person you support, you are responsible for having their permission, or their guardian's permission.
• Tell us right away at hello@mykeyplans.com if you think someone else is using your account.

What you add to Home Coach belongs to you. You give us permission to store it and show it inside the app so the app can work, including showing your forum posts and messages to the people they are meant for.

The app itself belongs to MyKey Consulting Services LLC. This includes its design, text, step-by-step guides, graphics, the MyKey name, and the Home Coach name and artwork. You may use them inside the app for your own personal or educational use. Please do not copy, sell, or republish them without our written permission.

Home Coach is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep it helpful and running, but we do not promise it will always be available, free of mistakes, or right for your situation.

To the fullest extent the law allows, MyKey Consulting Services LLC is not responsible for losses or harm that come from using or not being able to use the app. This includes missed medication or bills, lost information, decisions made using the app, and things other members say or do. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You can stop using Home Coach at any time, and you can ask us to remove your account by emailing hello@mykeyplans.com. We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms.

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If you keep using Home Coach after a change, you agree to the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Washington State.
